Félix Flisch and Felco are inextricably linked. A trained fitter and turner, he was above all a self-taught visionary who, in 1945, despite limited resources, set himself a very ambitious goal: to create pruning shears unlike any others and to sell them beyond Swiss borders. In pursuit of his goal, Flisch bought an old watch-making factory. Immediately, a new benchmark was set: where pruning shears had until then been but one of many agricultural tools, they became a tool of the utmost quality and precision. Constantly improving the comfort and efficiency of his products, Félix Flisch sought to have them noticed and adopted by the most discerning professionals. Little by little, export markets began to open up. The constant challenge was to find a balance between opening new markets and developing the means of production. But above all, products had to remain at the forefront of innovation and technological progress. Available today in over 120 countries and acknowledged as a brand of excellence for its pruning and cutting products, Felco is fulfilling the objectives of its founder, Félix Flisch.
Over its 60 year existence, FELCO's range has grown considerably.
